Georgetown Plaza was a mixed-use project developed by Louis Dreyfus Property Group and completed in 1979. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, it combined office and retail space with a luxury hotel managed by Four Seasons Hotels. The contemporary brick structures were carefully designed to be compatible with the historic architecture of the surrounding neighborhood.

The office tower was converted in 1998 to add 60 luxury rooms and suites to the hotel. An enclosed glass and brick walkway connects the original building with the new wing, and a comprehensive health club and fitness center was expanded to include massage rooms and a variety of spa treatment facilities. Excellent service and outstanding amenities distinguish this Four Seasons Hotel, the only AAA Five Diamond hotel in Washington.

The Four Seasons Hotel was sold in 2006.
