Developed and built by Louis Dreyfus Property Group in 1986, 527 Madison
Avenue is located in the heart of the Plaza district of
New York City. Designed by Fox & Fowle Architects and The
Webb Zerafa Menkes Housden Partnership, the 26-story building
of precast concrete and granite has a total area of 201,000
square feet.
The high ratio of windows to interior space and a minimum
of interior columns give the office floors an abundance
of natural light. A distinctive entrance lobby of marble
and oak, nine-foot finished ceilings and full height-windows
are some of the elegant details throughout the building
that create a sense of luxury and quality. Full-height interior
doors and frames are solid oak, and; elevator lobbies on
all floors are finished in marble and bronze.
527 Madison Avenue was sold in 1997.
